Aloha spirit in January

January 2014 has been a very cold and blistery start to 2014. But the Polynesian Spirit has been going strong! January 11, Isla Pacifika performed at the Travel Show. We were performing close to the Hawaii booths, so it was great to get some support from them! January 24th Isla Pacifika performed at the Lisle public library. With everyone dressed in Hawaiian shirts and a limbo contest, we were feeling the warmth of the Polynesian Islands! January 31st at 8:30pm Isla Pacifika wil be performing at St. Bede the Venerable School. We were invited to perform for their international week to show our Aloha spirit. Stay Warm, and join us at class on Sundays at 11:00 am still at the same studio, 4057 Damen. If you want to wait until it gets warmer, join us at the Morton Grove Park District in May for a Workshop!

Morton Grove Park District Hawaiian/ Tahitian Performance

Isla Pacifika will be performing at the Morton Grove Park District November 23, 2013 at 1pm. Then we will have a booth with a children's activity and information on classes. We are looking to partner up with the Morton Grove Park district and start teaching classes in 2014

Sundays are class time

Due to our growing family, we have decided to switch our class date and time. Classes are still at the same location. Classes are now held on Sundays at 10:30am

K9 4 Keeps

Isla Pacifika supports many groups! In March, we performed at a fundraiser for K9 4 Keeps. Since we have plenty of dog lovers in our group, we were happy to perform and help raise money. K9 4 Keeps can always use more donations, so please contact them today

Travel and Adventure show in Rosemont

Isla Pacifika will be performing at the Travel and Adventure Show at the Donald Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont on Saturday, January 26, 2013. We perform at 10am. We are excited to perform! We have a lot of new numbers and costumes to showcase for our friends and family. The best part is friends and family of Isla Pacifika can get into the show for free. Normally it is a $12 dollar admission.• Just say you are with the Global Beats Stage and they get a pass to come in for FREE. Mahalo and see you all there!

Happy Holidays! Isla Pacifika has holiday hours to spend time with friends and family. We will begin classes Jan. 9, 2013.

Tahitian Dance Costume Making

If you are in our class, we will show you how to make Tahitian costumes. There aren't any good websites or blogs showing how to make them.

First is to find the materials. Depending on where you live, you can go to the store and get it, otherwise you need to buy it online.
